County Lines Digital Workshop
January 25 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm GMT
Across the UK, it has been well documented that there is a patchwork of information, strategy, and responses to child criminal exploitation and county lines. Building an effective web of protective systems in collaboration with local partners is the best documented approach to preventing victims of exploitation falling through gaps in support.
Join Westminster Insight’s timely County Lines Digital Workshop to hear practical insights on how best to prevent, disrupt and support victims of child criminal exploitation and county lines.
Workshop Leaders:
• Detective Superintendent Andrew Furphy, Lead Responsible Officer for Exploitation in Children and Adults, Metropolitan Police
• Inspector Daryl Lyon, Head of the Community Initiative to Reduce Violence (CIRV), Northamptonshire Police
Key points:
• Exploring and expanding our understanding of county lines to better support victims
• Mapping exploitation to inform ‘intelligence-led’ policing and programme delivery
• Identifying exploitation and escalating the intensity and level of support appropriately
• Developing a multi-agency partnership to deliver a holistic and universal coverage of services
• Cultivating the capacity to predict behaviour to inform the implementation of early and preventative interventions
