£1 basketball sessions in London

Home   »   News Articles   »   £1 basketball sessions in London

The Mayor of London is partnering with the NBA, Better Leisure Centres and the London Coaches Program to offer £1 basketball sessions at Better Leisure Centres across London.

Specific sessions are aimed at:

  • Young people aged 5-15
  • Adults
  • Women
  • Community groups

The scheme aims to make basketball more accessible, help young people stay active during the winter months, and create safe indoor opportunities across the city. Basketball is the second-most popular team sport for young people in England, with over 500,000 Londoners playing regularly.

If you are a school, club or community organisation and interested in arranging a free session for your group, please contact: SportYouthTeam@london.gov.uk.

For further details please see the Mayor of London and London Assembly website.
