A public consultation has been launched by the UK Government on the Coalition to Tackle Knife Crime’s plans to ban Ninja swords. The coalition was established in September 2024 by the Government to help tackle knife crime and stop young people being dragged into violent gangs.
The proposals specifically look at the legal definition of Ninja swords and the defences and exemptions that should apply.
The public consultation will run for four weeks closing on Wednesday 11 December. All responses will influence the next stage towards banning Ninja swords.
